General Purpose of the Position
This position is responsible for day to day production of quotes. This position will possess competence for both the technical and social components of the Quote team. Attention to detail and skill acquisition in both categories is paramount.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Execution of daily quote responsibilities

Analyze quotes to execute processes and overcome obstacles
-
Achieve stated annual metric goals
-
Assist with achieving stated company sales goals
-
Timely turnaround of quotations for new and existing products
-
Ensure effective cost management while quoting products to customers throughout product lifecycle
-
Manage customer programs for required cost reduction
-

Initiate new product launches upon quote approval per product realization process
-
Problem solve issues both internal and external as they arise
-
Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities Required

Ability to work with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
-
Bilingual ability is highly preferred

Effective written and oral communication skills

Participate in a team atmosphere within and outside the Quote Team

Attention to detail in daily functions

Constructive attitude that continues to seek out and resolve daily challenges

Be able to demonstrate levels of decision making based on proficiency and experience aligned with business objectives

Ability to negotiate with both customers and suppliers
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Proficient in Camelot/ERP or similar systems desired
Education and Experience Required
-
4-year degree preferred
-
Understanding of supply chain management and purchasing techniques are highly preferred

Experience communicating with customers/vendors
-
Experience with multiple material commodities and manufacturing processes preferred
