General Purpose of the Position

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing any assigned tasks relating to keeping our accounts with our suppliers and service providers current. This includes all aspects of accounts payable including entry, statement review and other various tasks as necessary. This position will participate in both the technical and social components of the Accounting team. Leadership and skill acquisition in both categories is paramount.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily input of accounts payable invoices
  • Field any incoming accounts payable questions
  • Achieve daily entry goals of 12.5 lines per hour
  • Review and maintain vendor statements
  • Review and maintain open vendor receipts report
  • Other assigned tasks as requested including backup
  • Participate and/or lead on improvement teams

Education and Experience Required

  • Minimum of a High school diploma or GED, Associate Degree or 4-year degree preferred
  • Previous office experience including accounts payable preferred
