2016 Manufacturing Predictions

Our position gives us unique perspective to see what is of most value for manufacturers and to understand where they will be most apt to spend their efforts and time. We believe that 2016 will be a year filled with an advanced focused on technical applications to gain more information, build market share and increase efficiency. Our top three 2016 recommendations include:

1. Enhanced Appreciation of Advanced Analytics. Specific information at our fingertips prompts improved inventory situations, reduced transportation costs, increased production and less downtime. Information is king! The ability to provide advanced analytics and reporting is one of the key elements to our success. We see 2016 being a year the value of live-time, technical data is even further embraced.

2. E-Commerce Increases. As manufacturers seek ways to build market share, we anticipate that we'll see more parts being sold directly to consumers with attractive e-commerce platforms. This has been trending in both the automotive aftermarket as well as the equipment manufacturing sector and we predict that it will only continue!

3. Increased Focus Upon Logistics Efficiency. It's always been important, but we believe that increased attention and dollars will be invested to more efficiently control, process and transport parts and products. Web-based tools for tracking and management will be critical.
