Position Description

In this position, you will earn the opportunity to work in various departments of World Class Industries including; Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Quote, Sales and Accounting. Additional training may focus on Continuous Improvement, Safety, People Management, and Accounting. Through hands-on learning and accountability that is structured, yet self-directed, a person in this position will have an opportunity for performance based advancement in World Class Industries.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works in a variety of departments such as, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Quote, Sales and Accounting to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties.
  • Receives training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and to provide greater promotional opportunities.
  • Learns line and staff functions, operations, management viewpoints and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business.
  • Set performance goals and objectives with manager
  • Monitors performance progress with management and trainers
  • Use Camelot to regulate inventory by shipping material out and receiving material in by way of ASN, UPS/FED Integration, Inventory Transfer, and manual input
  • Shipping Material Handling – pull product, pack, secure, scan, and label product using FIFO to prepare for shipping by using fork truck, material cart, wireless scanners, tape guns, shrink wrap, shipping postages, packing slip envelopes, load outbound trucks
  • Receiving Material Handling – unload, sort, unpack, verify, and store all incoming products by using fork truck, material cart, inspection sheets, shipper documents, load and unload in-bound trucks.
  • Contact carriers to make arrangements for shipping material on a daily basis through web-based portals, manual phone calls, or communicating via email

Education and Experience Required:

  • 4-year degree preferred and/or commensurate experience
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of staff throughout the company.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and Word.
  • Previous Inventory based computer knowledge and or practical experience
  • Prior experience using wireless scanners and specialized computer software
