Mission of the Position:

To develop and implement a process that yields 3% year-over-year cost reduction while also developing suppliers that provide differentiation to WCI in the marketplace.


This position is also an intergral part of the Business Development Team, working collaboratively to put together competitive proposals by tackling tight timelines and challenging RFQs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achievement of goals & initiatives for Business Development, Cost and Strategic Quote Team. (2017- Mid-cycle gross margin $2.5M booked value added new business & 3% of sales cost reduction)
  • Development of commodity strategies and implemente into processes.
  • Work to identify cost opportunity with other teams; including price breaks, EOQ , resourcing, leveraging spend and other tools and techniques.
  • Accountability for cost reduction process at locations and manage Value Improvement workshops.
  • Submission, approval & implementation of cost reduction ideas to customers per CQDE goals and customer processes and requirements.
  • Collaborate with tactical supply chain roles for education and development of supplier strategices and process improvements.
  • Management of strategic WCI suppliers; including relationship building and supplier development.
  • Management of Strategic Quote functions and overall enterprise sourcing decisions to close opportunities for business development goals.

  • Proven experience in building relationships externally and internally
  • Be able to demonstrate levels of decision making based upon proficiency and experience aligned with business objectives

  • Constructive attitude that continues to seek and resolve daily challenges
  • Ability to analyze data and issues to uncover root cause and provide solutions

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

  • Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook preferred
  • ERP software experience
  • Should cost or commodity software experience

Education and Experience Required:

  • MBA and/or minimum of BA in Supply Chain Management
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain Management experience, specifically in commodity strategy development
  • Cost Reduction experience
